I made this. Week 2

So once again this post is a little disappointing to me. Following on from my sketch last week I can attest that making a chibi is damn hard! Figures are not something I'm well practiced at. I was trying to make this as simple as possible, but achieving the shapes I had drawn as super difficult.

Not really happy with the face - but I did know faces are a weak point for me.

The finger printing is quite defined here - would prefer it smoother. Hair was a problem too - I wasn't sure what look to go for, or how to achieve it. In the end I went with a bun.

The shape came out chunky, but not as curvy as I'd like. That accuracy and finish I wanted is not there either and its too big.

All that said - this was go number one, from an idea and really crappy sketch. I don't make creatures or people on a regular basis, so despite picking many faults I guess all in all its not horrendous.

So just to redeem myself I'm throwing in a few pics of other stuff I made that I'm more happy with....

Zombie hello kitty - shape take from a mold, then the details added.

My new letter set came in post so I was messing around with that.

This is my derby name and number made with a heart ice cube mold, a heart cutter and the letter set. Black detail added afterwards with marker pen.
